Bicycle prints, bicycle accents, bicycle accessories, you name it! I recall Jennie telling me back in October that she was seeing this print everywhere she turned. It wasn’t until now when I noticed that stores are carrying this spring print in all sorts of items. Check out some of Jennie Kay’s top bicycle picks!

Stylefile: Double Cuff Trend

Whether you’ve heard of this trend…rocking runways & street fashion at the moment or not, you’re in for a surprise.
This trend is spot on & we’re not sure why it hasn’t been adopted by stylespotters and trendsetters more often! The Double Cuff trend by some may seem silly — purchase two of the same bracelet? Isn’t that redundant and a waste? Absolutely not.

Photos: www.chickinthekitch.com www.whitneyport.celebuzz.com www.fashion-gourment.blogspot

The double cuffs create unity amongst an outfit. No matter how wild & crazy, or plain & simple your outfit is, it creates a balance that is both simple to achieve & fun to play around with. Wear two of the complete same wrist cuffs, or try different colored cuffs in the same style. Make it your own!

Jennie Kay is wearing cuffs from Francesca’s Collections boutique in Newport, RI.

These cuffs are both trendy & wallet friendly. Seen above, though the colors seen on these cuffs are different, the gold & orange come together beautifully to create a fashion forward and unique look to an otherwise basic outfit.

Oh yes… & did we mention…Miss Jennie is 9 months preggo–how’s this for a stylish mama with a fabulous glow?! :)

We’d say this trend is on point for Spring/Fall 2013!
So go ahead, what are you waiting for? Buy arm decor in pairs!

Holy Tuxedo!

HOLY TUXEDO!

One of the hottest trends to hit the runways and streets this season is the tuxedo pant. This versaitle trend features a refined street-chic yet a reformed look that can be worn nearly anywhere, anytime.

Whether you choose to wear the entire suit look — pants and jacket– or one or the other, these two items can transform your look completely. Throw in a pair of black stilettos and you’re golden.

They come in styles such as an ankle-hugging cigarette style, a flared bell bottom, wide leg, and more. As well as various textures and fabrics – leather and silk stripes, as well as cotton, silk, linen, denim, velvet, leather and more.

We love the romantic and androgynous look of the tuxedo pant. Designers have incorporated the seasons hottest prints and colors into the look as well, making it bolder and more statement-making then ever. Take a  look at some of our favorites:

There are LITERALLY so many ways to wear this look – pair with shorts, dresses, skirts, you name it. Throw on a tuxedo jacket and look superbly polished and fashionable — just how we like it

Work Out In Style

Workout looks are  being seen from coast to coast as casual everyday simple looks to rock. The sneakers and leggings with an oversized cardi or top is an easy look to pull off. The Olsen twins are notorious for pulling off this look.

Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen Workout Style

Workout-chic as we’ll call it can be seen coast to coast in the US, with celebrities and ‘somebodies’ rocking this casual, comfy, and sporty look. Now we all know some may simply dress the part, it is for sure a great way to make it look like you attend the gym…although we recommend hitting the gym a few days a week to keep that heart pumpin’ :]

Above are some great, unique finds by Lululemon & Gap Athletica. These all incorporate bright colors that will enhance your mood.

The Wonder of Sports Bras: New patterns, colors, styles and looks are available in sports bras today. Bra technology has increased as well as their eye appeal. Check out these great bras by Victorias Secret & Lululemon.
Bold Accessories: From Top left: Lululemon Yoga Tote, Neon Hairbands/Hair ties : these headbands and hair elastics will not leave a crease in your hair.Great for workouts or for hanging out. Bottom: Dr. Dre Beats Ear phones, amazing sound quality for amazing quality workouts. Neon Leopard Socks: Brighten up from the ground up.
Bold Sneaker Colors and patterns by: Mizuno, Nike & Brooks.

Neon, bright colors, bold patterns, and simple dark hues can be seen in many of these outfits. Who said you couldn’t look great when going or pretending to go to the gym!? We do have two requests in being stylish while working out; DONT overdo it and DONT wear makeup! Let your skin breathe! Sweat out those toxins and look great.

Miley Cyrus (left) and Ashley Tisdale rock the gym/workout style

Nicole Richie does this look well. Stylish, casual, and not overdone. Any of these looks can be worn to the gym or to meet with a friend for coffee.
Stars Whitney Port, Miranda Kerr, Amber Rose (sure the outfit is a bit much, but the colors are great!) and Vanessa Hudgens.

Dressing great for the gym? I can’t think of a better excuse to workout!

Celebrity Style Crush: Kristen Stewart

Where has she come from?! Kristen Stewart has really evolved and become quite the fashionista on the Red Carpet.

Though many of you may not be a fan of her, her style is something you need to check out!

Her stylist Tara Swennen has been dressing her since 2007 and I really am loving her look as of late. Stewart is no longer that awkward, shyly dressed girl. Though she still may be a bit shy, her outfits scream the opposite; Swennen and Stewart have pushed a more sexual and sensual style now that her Twilight movie days have come to and end.

What I love most about Stewart is that she is a tomboy at heart. She can be seen strutting her stuff in a pair of Louboutins on the red carpet and half way through changing into a pair of Chuck Taylors; it’s what makes her real. It seems as though has an alter ego like Beyoncé and Sasha Fierce. Let’s say K-Stew’s alter ego is Jennie Kay … right? Haha

While on the red carpet you can find her in Balenciaga, Zuhair Murad, Balmain, & Stella McCartney. She sports skirts and dresses with thigh-high slits and off the red carpet she sports tee shirts, skinny jeans, and a baseball cap – she is the essence of the best of both fashion worlds.

In terms of her makeup, for such a tomboy her makeup artist does a phenomenal job of bringing out her eyes with a black smudged shadow and eyeliner or sometimes a nice gold/bronze smokey eye. Stewart also is able to wear the exact opposite and wear a very minimal looking makeup – natural and flawless. We think she looks fabulous either way and either style, and we happen to envy both!

What’s Now: Incorporating Summer into Fall

Fall means putting away the summer dresses, flip flops, and beachwear — for now. Time to take out the comfy woven sweaters, tights, and leather boots and booties. A common misperception with fall is that you rid of the bright floral colors and choose more subdued tones. At the beauty parlour, we feel quite the opposite. Pair your comfy sweaters with a bold printed top, black leather skirt, tights and a pair of booties. Add a jeweled clutch and you’re ready for a day in downtown Newport and a night on the town. Fall looks can easily be spiced up by using subdued tones as your base and contrasting your outfit with a bright color — think jewel tones — purple, yellow, green– floral prints, scarf prints, and even bedazzled tops. You can create an outfit of various textures, colors and seasons and coordinate it to be appropriate for the season. This is not only a fun task, but the experimenting and excitement of creating outfits from summer, fall and winter pieces makes the cold seem not as bad.
